CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Tennessee Sports Writers Association has announced its selections for the All-State team for football in Classes 4A, 5A, and 6A in the state of Tennessee. Kirkwood High senior offensive lineman Kamari Blair earned a selection on the 5A team.

Blair, the No. 7 overall recruit in the state of Tennessee, was a stalwart at tackle for the Cobras during his senior year. Blair led the Cobras to tally more than 3,750 yards of total offense, 1,894 of which came from the Cobras’ ground attack. Blair tallied 86 pancake blocks en route to becoming a TSSAA Mr. Football semi-finalist.

The Cobras had their best season in program history during Blair’s senior campaign, winning a program record nine games, including their first-ever playoff win against Brighton. Blair will take his talents to the University of Tennessee in the fall to continue his football career.
