STEWART COUNTY, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Suspected murderer Kirby Wallace, who led local authorities on a week-long manhunt in September 2018, was indicted by a Stewart County grand jury on Monday, according to WKRN News 2.

Wallace is accused of killing two people and was the focus of an intense manhunt in Stewart and Montgomery counties. He was taken into custody on Oct. 5 in Stewart County.

At the time of his arrest, Wallace was wanted on nine charges, including two counts of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated arson, especially aggravated robbery, and especially aggravated kidnapping.

Wallace has a lengthy criminal history that dates back to the 1980s. He remains jailed at Riverbend Maximum Security Institutionand is due back in court on Jan. 14.
