CLARKSVILLE, TN − The Tennessee African American Historical Group would like to announce that the temporary exhibit “King Iron” is currently on display at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library. The exhibit will be on display in the Genealogy Room on the second floor until the middle of June.

This previously unknown history has been traveling throughout the state of Tennessee since February 2024, thanks to a shared sponsorship of a Humanities Tennessee grant and TAAHG supporters.

The exhibit consists of a diorama scene of a 19th century iron furnace, exhibit panels, and multiple artifacts from the iron industry loaned by museums and archives throughout the state.
