CLARKSVILLE, TN − Trustees, attorneys, and clerks and masters gathered at the annual Tennessee Association of Property Tax Professionals (TAPTP) Conference, where they shared valuable insights and discussed new policies to improve delinquent property tax collection practices.
Kimberly Wiggins, Past President and Montgomery County Trustee, was honored for her outstanding service as TAPTP President during the 2022-2023 term. She received the award in recognition of exemplary service to our state-wide organization as President.
Newly elected TAPTP President Erica S. Gilmore expressed her appreciation, saying, “Trustee Wiggins has shown exceptional leadership and provided continuity for TAPTP over the past three years. Her dedication and vision have significantly strengthened our organization and set a high bar for us all. We are grateful for her contributions and the lasting impact she had on our mission.”
Following Wiggins’s celebrated tenure, Erica S. Gilmore, Metropolitan Trustee of Nashville & Davidson County, took on the role of TAPTP President for the 2024-2025 term. A seasoned board member with extensive experience, Gilmore is eager to lead TAPTP with a focus on advancing best practices in delinquent tax collection.
“It’s an honor to serve, and I’m committed to pushing our organization forward with a focus on innovation and progress,” she said.
One of her first actions as president will be introducing scholarships for first-time conference attendees, ensuring that budget limitations in smaller counties do not prevent access to vital professional development. Scholarships will be available starting in January 2025.
