CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Keri Lovato, incumbent Ward 12 City Council representative, has announced she is running for re-election.
Lovato, a resident of the ward for over a decade, currently serves on the Finance, Gas & Water, Parks & Recreation and Public Safety Committees. She was also appointed to the City of Clarksville Legislative Liaison Committee and the Economic Development Council board in 2023. Lovato was first appointed by the City Council to fill an unexpired term in May 2023.
Since 2013, she has worked in the insurance industry as a licensed agent for Bakers Life, New York Life and State Farm before opening her own agency, Southbound Insurance, in 2020. Southbound focuses on providing individual and commercial insurance to local families and small businesses.
In 2020, Lovato co-founded Clarksville Business Allies, an organization that provides networking and support for locally owned small businesses. Since its founding, the organization has grown to serve as a platform for referral connections and community development opportunities for dozens of local business owners and non-profits.
Lovato has also been involved in leadership capacities for a number of other civic organizations including Project 4:13, Greenbriar Homeowners Association and the Girl Scouts. A mother to four children, she resides on Hendricks Court with her family.
“I am running for re-election to continue to bring a highly accessible, highly visible style of representation to my neighbors in Ward 12,” Lovato said. “We need to continue to focus on improvements in infrastructure and support for public safety while expanding family-friendly programs and youth engagement opportunities.”
