CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Kenwood High School’s A’Kia Votaw has signed to play basketball with Martin Methodist.

A’Kia played on the team during all four years of high school and helped lead Kenwood this season to a 20-7 record, the best record in school history with six more wins than any other team.

She was also named to the district team and won an award for the Best All Around Player on the team.

A’Kia’s GPA is over 3.0. She will study nursing at Martin Methodist.

A’Kia had several offers from other schools but chose Martin Methodist because she said the coaches were focused on helping her getting better as a player and excel further in the classroom.
