CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) Kenwood picks up a big district 15-7 win against Northwest, Friday Night.
Northwest jumped on the board first when Gabe Sibert connected with Isaiah Farrior on a 60-yard pass. He went out of bounds at the 3-yard line. Vikings score on the next play with a QB sneak.
Kenwood responds with a 64-yard touchdown pass from Anthony Smith to Kavarious Moody, bringing the score to 7-6.
Viking’s quarterback Gabe Sibert goes out in the 2nd quarter with an injury. Northwest moves to the Wildcat formation, a bad snap in the end zone leads to a safety. Kenwoods goes into half-time with an 8-7 lead.
The only score in the second half was when Kenwood’s Caleb McQueen goes up for a jump ball, comes down with it, and dives into the end zone. The Knights would hold on to a 15-7 lead to win the game.
The 2-3 Kenwood Knights play the undefeated Henry County Patriots next Friday and the 2-3 Vikings play the undefeated Mount Juliet Golden Bears.
