CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Cadets of Kenwood’s JROTC program will collect empty printer cartridges, cell phones, small electronics and laptops from the community and send the waste products to FundingFactory as part of the 2015 Funding Factory Recycling Rumble.

The cadets recently entered the contest, which will have them compete against other teams from around the country.

Every laser printer cartridge collected counts for three points, while any other qualifying item counts as one point. The top three “Rumblers” will earn $5,000 for first place, $2,000 for second place and $1,000 for third. Each school will receive money for each item shipped.

Companies interested in demonstrating a commitment to education and the environment can participate in the FundingFactory Business Support Program. FundingFactory will send each supporting business free prepaid shipping labels for the return of collected items. By donating to Kenwood’s JROTC, community and businesses can help raise the funds needed for their military ball, transportation, and drill team equipment they need. Their unit ID number is 102012.

Community and business supporters can drop off cartridges, cell phones, small electronics, and laptops at Kenwood High School located at 251 E. Pine Mt. Road Clarksville Tn. 37042.
