OAK GROVE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Kentucky State Police announced Tuesday night they have arrested three people in the “disappearance and believed death” of Justin Tyler Sawyer, who was reported missing in Clarksville on Dec. 17.
Working with the Clarksville Police Department, KSP’s investigation led to three suspects.
On Jan. 5, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Dawuan Davis, 20, of Clarksville on charges of robbery, kidnapping (with serious physical injury) and assault. Davis was located that evening at an apartment complex on Mandarin Drive in Oak Grove. Davis was arrested and lodged in the Christian County Detention Center.
On Jan. 7, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Gene “Doug” Henry, 36, of Oak Grove on charges of abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence. Henry was located at the same apartment complex on Jan. 11. He was arrested and lodged in the Christian County Detention Center.
On Jan. 7, an arrest warrant was obtained for Marquell Devont’e Sims, 22, of Oak Grove on charges of complicity to robbery, complicity to kidnapping (with serious physical injury) and complicity to assault. Marquell Sims has not yet been located.
