CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A fugitive from Logan County, Ky, was apprehended by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Clarksville Police Department early Wednesday morning.
Russell McCarley, Jr, 36, is from Russellville, Kentucky.
McCarley is wanted for a list of crimes including attempted murder, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, 1st degree wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence and fourth degree assault (domestic violence).
He was apprehend in the area of Hampton Station Road and Webb Road after deputies received a lead on his location from Logan County.
He was taken into custody without incident and was unarmed at the time of his arrest.
“Teamwork between multiple law enforcement agencies lead to the successful capture of McCarley,” said Sheriff John Fuson. “I am glad that we were able to apprehend him without incident.”
