HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A southwestern Kentucky man has pleaded not guilty to shooting someone after an argument and leaving the man in the street in Hopkinsville.
21-year-old Brandon D. Smith entered the plea Wednesday in Christian County Circuit Court. He’s charged with the fatal shooting of 28-year-old Keon Grant on May 14.
Police found Grant lying in the street with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
Smith turned himself in to authorities four days after the shooting. He is being held at Christian County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
