Ken Lane Harris, age 49, died Friday, January 3, 2014, at Gateway Medical Center. He was born in Fayetteville, NC to Joan Lane Harris and the late James Monroe Harris, II.
Mr. Harris was the owner of Harris Woodworks, and a deacon at and member of Hilldale Church of Christ. He was a life-long Clarksville resident, a 1983 graduate of Clarksville High School, and a 1990 graduate of Austin Peay State University.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 5 at the chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Tom Payne and Steve Kirby officiating. Burial will be at Belmont Cemetery, in Allensville, KY. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, January 4, and from noon until the hour of service, Sunday at the funeral home.
In addition to his mother, Ken is survived by his wife of 23 years, Cynthia Harper Harris; two sons, Will and Ben Harris; one daughter, Kathryn Harris; two brothers, Bret (Jacquelyn) Harris, and Blane Harris, all of Clarksville.
Pallbearers will be Galloway Harper, Brent Nussbaumer, Jeff Troy, Rob Galbraith, Rory Kennedy, and Clark Lemons. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Travis, Pat Biter, and Lance Carpenter.
