Katie Cornell Evans, 84 of Clarksville, went to be with the Lord Friday, February 14, 2014 at her residence.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2014 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Revs. David Mackens, Richard Wesley and Ben Falls officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2014, and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Monday.
Katie was born, August 1, 1929 in Clarksville, TN daughter of the late Gobel Mack and Rilla Carneal Cornell.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Carlton Evans, Scott Evans and Wes (Shelly) Evans; daughters, Gail (John) Hamilton, Jill (Donny) Haskins, Vickie (Bob) Sexton, Judy (Larry) Shaffer, Dixie (Geoff) Ransford and Discie (Rod) Rodriguez; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Wendell Cornell, Mack Cornell and her sister, Lucy Radar.
Pallbearers will be, Chris Cornell, Corey Cornell, Tyler Cornell, Todd Cornell, Lee Cornell and Doug Wilson.
