Karen Elaine Douglas Black, age 58 of Cunningham, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
The funeral service will be at noon on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in First Cannan Baptist Church Cemetery.
Karen was born July 9, 1956 in IL to the late Roy L. and June Wooten Douglas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dolan Black. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Don Nix; brother, Don (Ruth Ann) Douglas; sisters, Angela (Randy) Lewis, Donna (Paul) Hedrick, Bebsy (Danny) Jones; 6 nieces, 5 nephews; 4 great-nephews and nieces; step-son, Buddy Dolan (Jung) Black; grandchildren, Ashley and Alley Black.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
