CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- The jury trial of a man accused of murdering his pregnant ex-girlfriend will begin with jury selection on Friday, Feb. 21.
Quentin Dean Bird is charged with the murder of 20-year-old Allison Tenbarge and her unborn child.
Tenbarge was eight-months pregnant when she was killed inside of a Fairview Lane apartment on April 19, 2017.
Bird is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree murder in perpetration of a crime and two counts of especially aggravated kidnapping.
According to previous reports, Tenbarge went to the apartment to retrieve property from Bird, who was her ex-boyfriend. Tenbarge suffered blunt force trauma and sustained sharp force injuries to her head and body.
Allison Tenbarge was from Evansville, Indiana and the daughter of Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Lieutenant, Kenneth Tenbarge.
Jury selection will begin on Friday, Feb. 21 and opening statements and evidence will begin on Monday, Feb. 24 in Judge Jill Ayer’s court.
