CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Junior Auxiliary of Clarksville has scheduled its annual Open House as an opportunity for women in the community to learn about the chapter and how to become a member.
Those interested can choose to attend the Open House on from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22 or from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on August 2. Both meetings will be held at F&M Bank at 50 Franklin Street.
Junior Auxiliary of Clarksville is an organization of women who render charitable services to the children in the Clarksville-Montgomery County community. This is accomplished through a variety of service projects throughout the year that focus on helping those in need, as well as providing the basic necessities of life to children in the community.
Each December, Junior Auxiliary hosts “Gingerbread,” during which local children and families in need are given Christmas dinner baskets and gifts to be opened on Christmas morning. Twice each school year, “Healthy Kids Kits,” containing necessary hygiene items, are distributed to approximately 100 children in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. Junior Auxiliary also joins with the Department of Children’s Services to host an Easter Egg Hunt for local children in the spring, and JA members participate in the Back to School Bash which provides children with supplies at the start of each school year.
