Juland began his life on September 15, 2004, in Ansonia, Connecticut. He was the youngest of four children born to Yvrose Lafortune and Julnor Lafortune.
Juland was a beautiful soul taken away from us at just the age of 16. Juland attended Seven Day Adventist Reform Movement church frequently with his mother and siblings and was always respectful. A warm smile always accompanied his interactions with others. His mother, Yvrose Lafortune, had been raising her children as a single mother. Juland’s bond with his family was a special one. Everyone who met him was touched by his warm soul.
Juland was a junior at Clarksville High School. He was affectionately known as Juju by his friends and family. Juland had a passion for basketball and football. On the football field, he was a running back and cornerback and made the all-district team. He was a great child and commended by his coach for being raised well. This untimely death has left shock and sorrow throughout his family and friends.
Juland leaves behind his mother Yvrose Lafortune, father Julnor Lafortune, sisters Julise Lafortune, Melissa St. Germain, brothers Julberne Lafortune, Peleg Isma, nieces Khimora and Julianna, nephews Julian and Briley, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
