CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The title of ESPN Clarksville and Marion Jewell APSU Athlete of the Week this week is going to Austin Peay’s Josh Robinson. Robinson is a junior on the Governors men’s basketball team who had an outstanding game in the Govs recent win over Delaware.

Not only did Robinson score his 1,000th career point, he dropped in the game winning bucket with 1.9 seconds left to lift the Govs to a 76-75 win over the Blue Hens. After a Delaware free-throw he drove the length of the floor and laid in the final two of his 23 points.

Robinson has also become the 32nd Governor to reach the 1,000-point plateau, including the 13th guard and the 11th since 2006 to do so. Robinson has also been honored for the second time as the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Player of the Week.

Other accolades for Robinson include being named Tennessee Sports Writers Association Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, Tarkett Sports Class Tournament MVP, addidas OVC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week and College Court Report’s Player of the Week.
