Joseph “Joe” Thomas Poole, Jr., age 62, of Woodlawn, TN, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Tennova Healthcare.
Joe was born November 26, 1955, in Clarksville, TN, to the late Joseph Thomas Poole, Sr. and Rebecca Ann Rye Poole.
Mr. Poole was a faithful employee of Jenkins & Wynne for 37 years. He was passionate about people, especially his family, friends, and customers. He enjoyed spending time with his “girls,” Jan and Zoe. His happy place was on the back deck of his home, watching the wildlife. He had a zest for cooking and food. He loved trying out new recipes and restaurants. His Christian faith was a very important part of his life. Joe was also a member of the masonic lodge.
A celebration of life service will be Wednesday, February 28, at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Bro. Steve Jackson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 28, from 1:00 PM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.
Joe is survived by his wife, Jan Poole; two stepsons, John (Beth) Stigall and Dan (Kama) Stigall; four sisters, Peggy Ann (Michael) de Bessonet of Columbia, TN, Sherry Lynn Poole of Clarksville, Sharon Leigh (Audie) Bray of Russellville, KY, and Kimberly Faye (Jamie) Turner of Bumpus Mills, TN; three stepsisters, Susan Benda (Ben) McGinnis of Nashville, Cindy Benda (Shane) Jackson of Clarksville, and Shannon Benda (Eddie) Slusser of Spring Hill, TN; half-brother, David Emerson Poole; several nieces and nephews; and “fur baby” Zoe Grace.
