CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the 8th Annual Tickle Me Pink Luncheon is set for Thursday, October 18 at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.
The event is a fundraiser for the After Breast Cancer (ABC) Program at the Clarksville Area YMCA. Shopping with area vendors will begin at 11 a.m. with the luncheon from noon-1 p.m.
ABC is a free 16-week program that provides personal training and healing resources for women during and after a breast cancer diagnosis. During the luncheon local breast cancer survivors and caregivers will share their inspiring stories.
Local businesses can also support ABC and raise money with the Battle of the Bras. You can vote online at q108.com and vote for your favorite bra. Battle of the Bras is a contest with elaborately decorated bras on display and the winners will be announced at the luncheon.
