John W. Spainhoward age 93 of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2021, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Shelton officiating. The family requests that all attending guests are dressed in casual attire. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Pembroke KY.
The family will receive friends Friday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
John entered this life on February 21, 1927, in Henderson, KY to the late John Luther Spainhoward and Luella Tillison Spainhoward. He was a proud World War II Veteran of The United States Army and a member of the American Legion. John was retired from Civil Service and the Commissary Store Manager for over twenty-five years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his late wives, Ola E. Baker Spainhoward, Ellen Jeanette Spainhoward, and Geraldine Draper Spainhoward; stepdaughter, Angela Hodges; grandchildren, Kristina Black, and Robyn Dial; son-in-law, Donnie Black; siblings, Claude, Spainhoward, Sam Spainhoward, JC Spainhoward, Elmer Spainhoward, and Sue Smith.
Survivors include his children, Ronnie Spainhoward, Judy Black, Brenda (Bill) Lehman, Tommy (Linda) Spainhoward, Wayne (Margarete) Spainhoward, and Craig Spainhoward; seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
