John “David” Markin, age 64, of Clarksville, TN, entered God’s presence Friday, November 8, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Dover, TN to the late Otho Cary Markin and Betty Welch Markin. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Martha Ann Donnelly.

David was retired from the Trane Company, after 37 years. He had a love for his horses, Bo and Major, as well as his Bible Baptist Church family, where he was a member.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 12 at 11 a.m., at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel, with Bro. Brian Baggett officiating. Burial will be in Sango Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, November 11, and from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday, at the funeral home.

David is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lois Braboy Markin; one son, Barry (Amanda) Markin, of Clarksville; two sisters, Golda (Carney) Seay and Shirley (David) Edwards, both of Clarksville; one grandson, Henry Markin; and mother-in-law, Mary Braboy, of Oak Grove, KY.

Pallbearers will be Blaine Malcolm, Phillip Wyatt, Raymond Spurlin, Terry Kubczak, David McNeill, Kirk Steer, Ronnie Boyd, and John Allensworth.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bible Baptist Church, 3102 Prospect Circle, Clarksville, TN 37043.
