John Henry Forrer, age 84, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 30, 2015.
Born June 26, 1931 in Marshallville, OH, Mr. Forrer was the son of the late William Forrer and Mary Shilling Forrer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Forrer; and half-brother, Orin Reed.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Beverly Ann Norton Forrer; his sons, Ron (Cathy), Rick (Monica), and Russ (Sandra); daughters through marriage, Tami (Clifford) Fair and Toni (Tom) Tumbusch; eight grandchildren, Kris Forrer Cormell, Andrew Forrer, Amy Forrer Robinson, Katy Forrer, Stephen Forrer, Jennifer Forrer, Benjamin Edds, and Ashlee Edds; his sisters, Ruth (Rich) Linhoss, Mary Messenger, and Marty (Harve) Miller; brothers, William (Elaine) and George (Mary); seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Forrer attended schools in Marshallville and Orrville, OH, once served as Captain of the Orrville Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Squad, and retired from the Koppers Company. He also worked part time at the Clarksville Athletic Club and Bridgestone Metalpha Company.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, December 5, at 1:00 PM, at Aubles Funeral Home, in Orrville, OH, with Rev. Pat Van Dyke officiating. John’s remains are to be cremated and burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, in Orrville, OH.
