CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – John Crespo has announced he is running for the Republican nomination to the Clarksville-Montgomery County School Board, District 1.

Crespo is owner of CFD Services Inc., a bookkeeping and business lending operation. He has a bachelor’s in business administration from Devry University and a graduate certificate in project management from Southern New Hampshire University.

He moved to Clarksville in May 2018 from New Jersey. He is an Army veteran and was stationed at Fort Campbell from 1996 to 1999.

“We need representatives with skin in the game,” Crespo said. “As a Christian, I am concerned for my children and those coming up behind them. We need to give a voice to our families and ensure parents’ concerns are heard and addressed. Our teachers and children should be able to show up to a safe learning environment. And our administration should be held accountable to the standards of excellence we expect.”

He is on the board of two Recover Our Sons, a mentorship and training nonprofit, and Clarksville Hispanic American Family Foundation (CHAFF).

Crespo and his wife have five children (one boy and four girls) ages 15 to 25.
