CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Five Star Media Group announces the return of Joe Padula on February 1 to the Clarksville airwaves.

The Joe Padula Show will debut on Rewind 94.3 on Wednesday, Feb. 1 from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. The show is being billed as “Clarksville’s conversation” and will showcase community leaders, local politics, and topics.

“This is the perfect fit for Rewind,” Buzz Casey, Brand Manager for Rewind 94.3 said. “We need a local morning show to entertain and inform our listeners every morning and Joe is the man for the job.”

The show will feature music from the 70s, 80s and 90s as well as interviews, special guests, and listener interaction.

“We’ve been impressed with Joe’s commitment to the community and his willingness to get out and support local business,” Katie Gambill, Vice President and General Manager of Five Star Media Group said. “We expect Joe to be a key player for Five Star Media by entertaining and engaging our growing audience on the air and our digital properties.”

More on Joe
Joe Padula is an Army veteran, previously serving in the historic 101st Airborne Division Screaming Eagles (Air Assault). As a decorated combat correspondent, Joe developed a love for radio and connecting with the local community. Padula served five years in uniform with the U.S. Army. During his time stationed at Fort Campbell he was deployed with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team to Kandahar, Afghanistan. He was awarded both the Bronze Star and Meritorious service medal.

“I chose to stay in Clarksville because I love this community,” Padula said. “Clarksville has so much to offer, and it’s important to be engaged where you live, absolutely.”

A New Jersey native, he was interested in broadcast communications from a young age. After attending the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, Padula planned on pursuing a career in broadcast journalism. However, the tragic events of September 11 quickly drove Padula to pursue another mission.

“I was just two blocks from the World Trade Center that day,” Padula recalls. “It was a moment that changed my life. One I will never forget.” After he enlisted in the U.S. Army as an Army Correspondent, he later joined the ranks of the 101st and 2nd Brigade Combat Team STRIKE.

After leaving the military, Padula became heavily involved in the local community, earning numerous awards and accolades from organizations such as Fort Campbell MWR, USO, Bikers Who Care, ReBOOT Recovery, and Flourishing Families.

The Joe Padula Show
The Joe Padula Show will be a welcome addition to the already robust line-up of 5 Star Media offerings. While the show will be rooted in a talk format, the station will continue to offer all the greatest hits of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Joe’s friend and colleague Skye Whittenburg will serve as his co-host.

“We (5 Star Media) have such a talented team,” Gambill said. “I am excited about the potential and opportunities for growth with this station. Joe is going to bring a whole new aspect to Rewind.”
