JoAnn Ruth Bickle, age 87, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Tennova Healthcare. She was born November 25, 1935, in Hancock, WI to the late Lloyd Brown and Edna Bates. JoAnn was an animal lover who enjoyed watching birds in her spare time. She also enjoyed embroidering and playing cards.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michael Christianson, Arlean (Carl) Clarkson, and Deanna Rittenberry; sisters, Judy (Larry) Bacon and Joyce Domke; grandchildren, Christopher (Tammy) Vickers, Nathaniel (Rachel) Clarkson; great-grandchildren, Hannah Vickers and future great-grandson, Josh Decker Jr., Jessica Vickers, and Riley Clarkson; sisters-in-law, Carol Brown, Donna Brown, Nancy Brown and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, JoAnn is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Bickle; brothers, Bub Brown, Lyle Brown, Otis Brown, and Tom Brown; son-in-law, William Rittenberry and brother-in-law, Duane Domke.
Funeral services will be held at Gateway Funeral Home on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery in Guthrie, KY.
