CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) – Clarksville High’s JK Cummings has become the 16th student athlete this year to sign to play in college. She will be playing basketball at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise.
The Clarksville High girls basketball team had a great run this year, making it all the way to the state tournament. JK, along with teammates Aliyah Miller and Chrislen Brown, all signed to play at the next level.
JK was a four year starter for the Wildcats. According to head coach Brian Rush, she made improvements in every aspect of the game each year. Her numbers across the board improved as well. She broke the school record making eighty-four 3-pointers this season. She finished her high school career with 895 points, which puts her on the top 20 all-time scorers list.
After signing, she thanked her parents, coaches and teammates who helped her. She invited all of her friends and family to refreshments.
Congratulations to all 2016-17 CHS athletes signing (as of 4/27/17)
