Jimmy was born November 8, 1968, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to the late Charles Arthur Kanagyand Darlene Jeanette McGranahan. He grew up in Michigan near his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He moved to Clarksville, Tennessee with his parents and brother when he was in his late teens.
