Jim Rudolph Meadows, age 84, of Clarksville, died Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at his home. He was born in Barbourville, KY, to the late James E. Meadows and Lucille Brock Meadows.
Jim was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post #233, the 11th Airborne Association, the VFW, DAV, and the Vietnam Veterans Association.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Jamie Mandrell officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – West, in Hopkinsville, KY. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22 and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
Mr. Meadows is survived by his loving wife, Betty Meadows; three sons, Bryan (Karla) Meadows and Eric (Beverly) Meadows, both of Ohio, and John (Robin) Bechtold, of Tampa, FL; two daughters, Robin (Don) Potters, of Ohio, and Emily (Charlie) Collins, of Clarksville; sixteen grandchildren, Jaime Collins, Charles Collins, Jr., Scott Meadows, Andrew Meadows, Heather Meadows, Becky Meadows, Shea Meadows, Erica Eddleman, Tyler Ferguson, Clayton Ferguson, Alexis Bailey, James Bechtold, Alex Bechtold, Christy Bechtold, Christopher Bechtold, and Teresa Collins; and ten great grandchildren.
