Jim passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018 at his residence.
A celebration of life service for Jim Doug Simpkins Sr., age 65 of Wellington, KY formerly of Clarksville, will be Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends before the service starting at 11:00 AM.
He was born on May 10, 1953 to William and Bertha Adkins Simpkins. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Dianna.
Jim was a United States Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his sons; Jimmy (Marlena), Jason (Niki), and Allen (Amy) Simpkins, brother Riley Simpkins, sisters; Minnie Hicks, Liz Simpkins, and Rose Parsons, 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
