Jim Dilworth Crosby, age 89, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Grace Healthcare.
Jim was born August 16, 1925, in Mississippi, to the late Charles S. and Pauline V. Crosby.
Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home.
Jim was retired from Binswinger Glass Company of Clarksville and was an active member of New Providence Civitan for over 50 years. Jim also served in World War II and retired from the military in 1970 at Fort Campbell, KY.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Crosby; and one son, Michael Crosby.
He is survived by two sons, Jimmy (Cindy) Crosby and Ron Crosby, both of Clarksville; three grandchildren, Justin (McKenna) Crosby and Stewart (Gina) Crosby, both of Clarksville, and Jennifer (Joseph) Pleszkoch, of Maryland; and eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 213 Main Street, Clarksville, TN 37040; or to the Civitan Club of Clarksville – New Providence Chapter, 223 N. Second Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
