Jill Christine Heist, age 45, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019.
A Celebration of Life will be held at noon Friday, August 2, 2019, at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Sango Cemetery. Jill’s family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
Jill entered this life on December 5, 1973, in Coronado, California. She is the daughter to her mother and father by marriage, Linda and David Lincoln and father and mother by marriage, Dave and Suzanne Heist. Jill received her Bachelor’s degree from APSU and went on to receive her Master’s degree from Cumberland University. Jill loved children. She was devoted to her career as a Child Care Case Manager for the State of Tennessee’s Dept. of Human Services, Child Care Welfare Division, and would always strive to advocate for children when in need. Also young at heart, Jill enjoyed participating alongside her son Cross and the rest of the kids playing on the Northwest Little League Baseball Team where she affectionately served as a Team Mother and Coach. Jill was a Baptist.
In addition to her parents, Jill is survived by her son, Cross Newman, and her brother, Tim Heist.
