Jerry Wayne Gray, age 76, passed away on December 19, 2014 at Grace Healthcare in Clarksville, TN.
He was born in 1938 in Dunbar, PA. He is preceded in death by his mother, Melissa M. Gray, and step-father, Charles Rishel of Hopwood, PA, and brother, Robert Daniel Gray of Connellsville, PA.
He joined the U.S. Marines from 1953-1954 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955-1962 as a Senior Medic NCO. He was a Vietnam War Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Gray of Clarksville, TN; sons, Larry (Verna) Odom of Erin, TN, and Larry (Peggy) Barrett of Riva, MD; brother, Melvin George Gray of Feeding Hills, MA; grandchildren, Jereme Odom of Palmyra, TN, Jessica (Wesley) Robeson of Tennessee Ridge, TN, Vicky Gray of Hopkinsville, KY, Daniel Barrett of Washington, DC, and Lindsey Barrett of New York; seven great-grandchildren; and cousins, Lynette (Dan) Akins and daughter, Cari.
He will be cremated and his remains will be placed at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West Columbarium in Hopkinsville, KY.
