CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Police Chief David Crockarell, Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts, and Tennova Healthcare – Clarksville CEO Alex Villa presented the Clarksville Jeep Crew with a Citizens Commendation along with CPD and Mayor’s Challenge Coins to thank the group for their efforts to serve the Clarksville community during the recent snowstorms.

Clarksville Jeep Crew members assisted more than 250 stranded motorists and provided 292 rides for medical personnel and other essential workers totaling 2,389 miles.

Throughout the inclement weather, the CJC also delivered meals, baby formula, and other necessities to those who could not travel because of the weather and road conditions.

Chief Crockarell and Mayor Pitts took a moment to personally thank the group for their actions during the recent snowstorms, including assisting an officer with escorting a suspect back to the officer’s patrol car after a foot pursuit, and for assisting the Clarksville community in a time of need.

Tennova Healthcare CEO Alex Villa also thanked the group for providing more than 68 hours of rides to nurses and medical professionals so that they could make it to work.
