Jean Marie Sharpe Gardner, age 88, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, February 12, 2016, at Gateway Medical Center.
Jean was born May 15, 1927, in Memphis, TN, to the late Sydney Sharpe and Susan Sturdivant Sharpe. She was also preceded in death by her husband, C.D. Gardner, and her siblings.
Mrs. Gardner was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, in Harriman, TN. She was very active in the Women’s PGA and was also a part of the Tennessee Women’s PGA.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 16, at 12:00 Noon (Eastern Time), at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, in Harriman, TN, with Father Michael Sweeney officiating. Burial will follow at Roane Memorial Gardens, in Rockwood, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 16, from 10:00 AM (Eastern Time) until the hour of service, at the church.
Jean is survived by her son, Robert (June) Gardner; two grandchildren, Angela Gardner and Greg Gardner; and ten great grandchildren.
