CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Jammin in the Alley concert series kicks off another year Friday, May 16 in downtown Clarksville.
Joel Brown will perform a free show from 7-10 p.m. in Strawberry Alley. The road will be closed to traffic and parking.
The Alley, Edward’s Steakhouse, and Kooka’s Nest will provide outdoor seating with a view of the stage.
Guests are encouraged to arrive early as the first 150 visitors will receive free strawberry cupcakes courtesy of George the Cake Guy and free strawberry sodas.
Vendors will be onsite for patrons to purchase beer, water, and energy drinks. Edward’s and Section 125 will offer a Pennington’s Rye Whiskey tasting for the 21 and up crowd.
Limited seating will be provided and guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
Jammin in the Alley was originated by the city, but since last year local merchants have taken it upon themselves to continue the tradition.
“It’s just great to draw people downtown and show them what is available,” said John Shephard, series coordinator and owner of Edward’s Steakhouse. “It seems that people forget about the downtown area sometimes.”
