James W. Johnson, Jr, age 85 of Clarksville passed away Friday, December 6, 2019. Visitation Thursday, December 12, 2019, 12:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. with the family present 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Foston Funeral Home.
Funeral service Friday, December 13, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Guildfield Missionary Baptist Church. Internment Kentucky Veteran Cemetery- West. He was born March 17, 1934, in Guthrie, KY to James W. Johnson Sr and Thelma Kaye Collier. He is preceded in death by wife Nora L. Head Johnson, parents, and children, Sher Rial Hoosier, Vivian Smart, Gerald W. Johnson, and William Terry. He retired from Trane Co. He leaves to cherish his memories daughters, Margaret (Troy) Shardon, Trenton, KY, Elizabeth Ligon, Clarksville, TN, Tanya Burks, Guthrie, KY, and Christmasia (Derrick) Cooper, Detroit, MI; sons, James W. Johnson, III, Ronald E. (Deborah) Johnson, Kenneth (Alma) Johnson, Hakim Mustafa and Antonio (Gloria) Johnson all of Clarksville, TN; stepchildren, Faye Head and Ray Head both of Clarksville, TN and 24 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and 17 step-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
