James Raymond Stevens, Jr., 72, of Madison, TN, died Friday, February 7, 2014 at St. Thomas Midtown. He was born September 23, 1941 in Alister, Arkansas to the late Raymond Stevens and Cora Belle Jones Stevens.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2014 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the hour of service Friday, February 14, 2014 at the funeral home.
James was a meat processor for Equity Meat. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the Queen City Lodge No. 761 and Trinity Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. He was a four stripe red belt and excercise teacher for seniors.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy McCormack Stevens of Madison, TN; son, Timothy (Stefanie) Stevens of Nashville, TN; two daughters, Angela (Jimmy) Moseley of Cadiz, KY and Sheri (Jerry) Jones of Clarksville, TN; brother, Danny Joe Stevens; sister, Doris Davenport of Clarksville, TN; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
