James Ray Dodson, 70, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Tennova Healthcare of Clarksville.
James was born on February 13, 1948, in Middletown, VA to the late Edgar Columbus Dodson and Vernie Louise Funk Dodson. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Paul Dodson.
In keeping with James’ wishes, there will not be any public services.
James retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of dedicated service.
James is survived by his wife of 37 years, Donna Lecea Dodson; two sons, James Ray (Vickie) Dodson II and William Christopher Dodson; three daughters, Jayne Elizabeth (Andrew) McClain, Shelva Louise (Jay) Jackson, and Cheryl Marie Dodson; step-son, Richard (Kim) Stewart; two step-daughters, Sherrie (Brad) Stewart and Denise Yates; brother, David Dodson; sister, Freda (Sam) Dimon; fourteen grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
