James Lee Cunningham, age 75, of Clarksville, TN, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at his residence.

James was born on June 3, 1949, in McMinnville, TN to the late Roy Cunningham and Claire Lee Muncey.

James is survived by his devoted wife, Kristy L. Cunningham and loving daughter, Amanda (Jordan) Bretherick.

James was the co-owner and manager of Bowling World in Cookeville, TN for over 30 years. He was an active member of Hilldale Church of Christ and after services could be found enjoying his NASCAR races. James was a Corvette enthusiast, owning a green Stingray 1971 model. He loved watching his daughter play and now coach Volleyball. He loved many sports and was a huge New York Yankees, Tennessee Football and Basketball, Titans Football and, Freed- Hardman Volleyball fan.

A celebration of life in James’ honor will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Hilldale Church of Christ with Carl Sims officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 11:00 am until the hour of service at Hilldale Church of Christ. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 11:00 at Hebron Cemetery in Irving College, TN.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to VUMC-Aniket Rali Congestive Heart Failure Research, Freed-Hardman Volleyball Program, or Hilldale Church of Christ Memorial Fund.
