James Harvel Powers, 79, Cumberland Furnace, TN, died Tuesday, October 22, 2019.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 P.M. Saturday, November 2, 2019, at McReynolds-Nave Larson Chapel. Burial will be in Waynick Cemetery with Military Honors.
Visitation is from 10 A.M. until the hour of the service Saturday at the Funeral Home.
Mr. Powers was born on September 21, 1940, in Stewart Co., son of the late James Albert and Linnie Powers. He was a member of Slayden Church of God of Prophecy; a Veteran of the US Army having served as Military Police with the 25th Infantry in Hawaii and retired from TVA. After retirement, he was employed by Dickson and Vanleer Water Companies.
He was preceded in death by wife, Patricia Powers; brothers, Landon Powers, Ray Powers, and Roy Powers; son-in-law, Jerry Cullins.
Mr. Powers is survived by his daughter; Vicki Powers Cullins and son, James Powers.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
