CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – James Corlew Chevrolet-Cadillac has concluded a successful partnership and season with Clarksville Northwest Little League. James Corlew Chevrolet-Cadillac provided Clarksville Northwest Little League with new equipment, a monetary contribution, and an opportunity for community members to raise funds for the league via a Test Drive fundraiser.
“We’re very happy to be a part of Chevrolet’s commitment to Little League Baseball. Little League positively impacts and influences our youth in so many ways,” James Corlew said.
James Corlew Chevrolet-Cadillac partnered with the Clarksville Northwest Little League because of the league’s proximity to the dealership. Equipment donated by James Corlew Chevrolet-Cadillac included items such as bags, batting tees, catcher’s gear, water bottles and Chevrolet Youth Baseball T-shirts. The sponsorship also included youth clinics featuring current and former MLB/MiLB players and coaches, and instructors from Ripken Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association.
“My father, James Corlew, Sr., played baseball as a youth and eventually was a starter at Austin Peay State University in the early 50s. Growing up, Dad got me involved with Little League. Obviously, we are very passionate about all the positives that come from Little League for our youth and for our community,” Corlew said.
In 2016, nearly 1,500 Chevrolet dealers participated in Chevy Youth Baseball. Since the program began in 2006, Chevrolet has made a positive impact on more than 3.6 million children by bringing a unique experience to their community.
