A funeral service for Jacqueline “Jackie” Mai Lee Grinstead, age 58, will be Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home with Pastor Benton Jackson officiating.
Burial will follow at Rye’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM and again on Thursday from 12:30 PM until the time of service.
Jackie was born on January 27, 1966, in Clarksville, TN, to Jack and Desrae Lee. She passed away on December 8, 2024, at home surrounded by those she loved. Jackie’s biggest goal in life was to become a grandmother. She loved being a “MawMai” to so many, but her pride and joy was her grandson, Kellan. One of her favorite past times was playing baseball with him and taking walks to the creek. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and sharing her love and talent through her culinary creations. You could often find her with a good cup of coffee or napping in her recliner with her granddogs.
Jackie is preceded in death by her father, Jack Lee. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children: Jamie Grinstead, Alaina (Tommy) Sawyer, and Lucas Grinstead; grandson, Kellan Krause; sisters, Sarah (Les Paul) Greene, Linda Lee, and LaDonna Morse; and 5 nieces, 2 nephews, and all of their children.
