CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Jackson, Tenn., man was charged with attempting to kill a man by shooting him in May.
Darice Harris, 26, is charged with attempted second-degree murder, employing a firearm during a dangerous felony, aggravated assault with the use of a weapon and reckless endangerment .
Harris was indicted in the August term of the Montgomery County grand jury.
On May 21, 2020, Harris allegedly fired a gun at Codarius Humphrey following an altercation. Harris allegedly fired multiple times in an attempt to kill Humphrey.
Humphrey was struck and sustained injuries.
Clarksville Police responded to a fight in progress call at the 2700 block of Wilma Rudolph Blvd on May 21.
The call quickly changed into a shots fired call.
When officers arrived they found one victim, Humphrey, with a gunshot wound.
Harris is scheduled for arraignment in early September.
