Jack T. Irwin, age 91, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Tennessee State Veterans Home.

Mr. Irwin was born June 14, 1930, to the late Bruce Irwin and Euretha Irwin.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Irwin; son, Tom Irwin of Lexington, KY; daughter, Kellie (Ron) Jackson of Clarksville, TN; and grandson, Blake Jackson of Knoxville, TN.

LTC (Ret.) Irwin served over 24 years in the US Army with service in the Korean War, Vietnam War, Germany and stateside. Irwin’s military awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Campaign Stars, United Nations Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. He was also awarded the Master Parachutists Badge as well as many others awards.

Jack also enjoyed the outdoors, especially quail hunting and field trails with friends and family. Along with those activities he had a passion for breeding and training English Setter bird dogs. He attended St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank Darlene Lindsay, Jovontae, and Bitsey for the excellent care he received while at Tennessee State Veterans Home, as well as Blake Hood.
