Isaiah Jackson, age 68, of Clarksville, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017, at his residence.

Isaiah was born August 8, 1949, in Butler County, AL, to the late Will Crosby and Minnie Lee Smith Jackson. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Crenshaw Jackson, whose union bore surviving daughter, Lachaka (Wesley) Askew and surviving son, Kieran (Dandra) Jackson, both of Cleveland, OH; and siblings, Jack Jackson, John Jackson, Sr., Napoleon Jackson, Willie Jackson, and Annie Jackson.

Mr. Jackson was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church. He was an avid New York Jets fan. He also loved baseball, especially the New York Mets. Isaiah liked to barbeque and loved old rhythm and blues music. He was the neighborhood “Mr. Fix It.”

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, October 29, at 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Minister Lachaka Askew officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, October 29, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.

Isaiah is survived by his wife, Ada Lee Smith Jackson; three sons, Willie V. Powell, Patrick Powell, both of Cleveland, OH, and Carlin Powell of North Carolina; three daughters, Valerie Powell of Clarksville, Charlotte Powell of Cleveland, OH, and Cassandra Powell of Painesville, OH; one brother, Henry Jackson of Arizona; two sisters, Minnie Duke Henry of New York, NY and Mary Nell (Ennis) Hall of Birmingham, AL; six sisters-in-law, Sandra Smith, Betty Banks, Mary Harvey, Annie McCray, Willie Nell Atkins, and Dorothy Feagins; brother-in-law, Robert Smith; twenty-five grandchildren; and host of great-grandchildren.
