Isaac Gabe Smith, age 87, of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Gateway Medical Center.
Gabe was born November 18, 1927, in Palmyra, TN, to the late Boyd D. Smith and Mary Russell Smith. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Rachel S. Dougherty.
Mr. Smith retired after 54 years as a Purchasing Agent at Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation (CEMC). He was a member of Hilldale United Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 15, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Phillip Chambers and Rev. B.J. Brack officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.
Gabe is survived by his wife, Colleen Yarbrough Smith and son, Kerry N. Smith (Betty).
Pallbearers will be Sam Jones, Doug Jones, Dan Dougherty, Ethan Dougherty, Rayburn Sudsberry, and Carl Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Hardy, Steve Jones, Maurice Yarbrough, and Dr. Robert Hudson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
