Clarksville, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- Clarksville Fire Rescue ​promoted four in department workers to fill vacancies left from retirements.

Fire Chief Freddie Montgomery officiated the promotion ceremony in the training room located in the headquarters with family, friends, and co-workers in attendance to witness the occasion.

Asst. Chief Steve Batten was promoted to Deputy Chief (2nd in command). He has 23 years of service with Clarksville Fire Rescue.

District Chief Scott Owens was promoted to Assistant Chief, and he takes over command of Battalion 1. He also has 23 years of service with the department.

Gina Johnson was promoted to the Administrative Support Supervisor, with seven years with the department.

Angela Moody was promoted to our Administrative Support Technician, with five years of service.

Clarksville Fire Rescue’s promotion process is highly competitive, many qualified candidates applied for the positions. Each individual should be proud of their accomplishments.
