CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville commuters to Nashville who’ve been dodging damaging potholes in recent weeks will soon get some relief, but it will take some patience during construction work.

Starting Monday, the Tennessee Department of Transportation will conduct daytime lane closures Monday-Friday on Interstate 24 eastbound in Robertson and Cheatham Counties to patch and repair potholes.

“Crews will be making the repairs with hot mix to provide a more permanent patch, which means alternating lane closures will be necessary,” the TDOT notice said.

They will be working at the following eastbound locations between Exit 19/Maxey Road and Exit 35/Joelton from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

  • Monday, Jan. 31: Mile marker 28.2-29
  • Tuesday, Feb. 1: Mile marker 28.8-29.6
  • Wednesday, Feb. 2: Mile marker 29.8-30.5
  • Thursday, Feb. 3: Mile marker 25.1-27
  • Friday, Feb. 4: Mile marker 27-28.6

Drivers are urged to move over and slow down as they travel through the work zones.
