HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – Physicians on staff at Jennie Stuart Medical Center have elected Keith Toms, MD, president of the Medical Staff for 2014. Dr. Toms, a board-certified internist and board-certified pediatrician, had been president-elect the past year.
He has served on JSMC’s Medical Staff Development, Medical Staff Quality Review, Credentials, Pharmacy & Therapeutics, and Governing Board Quality committees. Dr. Toms joined the Medical Staff in 2005. He is one of five physicians who staff JSMC’s Convenient Care Clinic.
In his private medical practice, Dr. Toms is president of Generations Primary Care. He earned a medical degree from the University of Louisville where he also served a medical residency.
Also elected to one-year terms on the JSMC Medical Executive Committee were: Matthew Robinson, MD, president-elect; Don Perkins, MD, communications officer; and Jenny Franke, MD, and Pankaj Shah, MD, members at large. Michael Clark, MD, is now past president.
JSMC has more than 100 physicians on staff in 34 medical specialties.
